Mission Action Plan

PRIORITIES FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

1.  PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL AND MAKING NEW DISCIPLES

v Praying for 7 people; form an evangelism team; open church building to the community

2.   WHOLE-LIFE DISCIPLESHIP

v Equip and commission ambassadors representing Jesus Christ in daily life

v Pilot church for the Ambassadors strand of Capital Vision 2020, with the aim of being part of a learning community of pilot parishes which will become a resource to the diocese as a whole

v Actively encourage the Cursillo movement as a part of the life of the church here

3.  FURTHER DEVELOP LAY LEADERSHIP

v Build a stronger local church by growing key Christian workers from within the church community, rather than relying on drawing in outsiders to enable the church’s mission to flourish

v Continue to encourage, support, challenge and provide opportunities for church members to use their gifts, discern God’s call, and be equipped for ministry, including providing some financial support towards the costs of training courses

4.  FURTHER DEVELOP OUR WORK WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

v Recruit and train new leaders and helpers to sustain and develop Junior Church

v Sustain and develop the Youth Cluster Group which started in January 2014

v Further develop All-Age Worship, including exploring Messy Church

5. HEALTH, WHOLENESS AND WELLBEING OF LOCAL PEOPLE

v Health, wholeness and well-being project in partnership with Ealing Trinity Methodist Circuit
to be launched in September 2014, initially including support for people with mental health problems, a living-at-home scheme supporting elderly people, and health awareness sessions

6.  APPROPRIATE BUILDINGS WHICH ARE RESOURCES FOR WORSHIP AND MISSION

v To enable us to deliver the above, find the funding for and carry out a major reordering and refurbishment of the church building, at an estimated cost of £750,000

v Also consider the redevelopment of the church hall site in a way which continues to provide community facilities as well as further enhancing the church’s mission
